Breaking News!!!

I must tell everyone who is a part of the Jared Awards, that as I the President and Founder and namesake will work solely on my favorite category; the Best Actress category after finishing 2010 Jared Awards. Then I will proceed into the Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Actor, etc. It will be a long process but I'll try to make it more interesting and educational for all film buffs.

Best Supporting Actor

The nominees for the best performance by an actor in a supporting role are

Christian Bale- The Fighter
John Hawkes- Winter's Bone
Andrew Garfield- The Social Network
Jeremy Renner- The Town
Geoffrey Rush- The King's Speech

Best Supporting Actress

The nominees for the best performance by an actress in  a supporting role of 2010

Helena Bonham Carter- Alice in Wonderland
Barbara Hershey- Black Swan
Melissa Leo- The Fighter
Lesley Manville- Another Year
Hailee Steinfeld- True Grit

Nicole Kidman in Rabbit Hole

This is a beautiful performance by Nicole. Her heartfelt and simple story made me tear up. Nicole approached this character very subtly and as a result, we got an excellent performance by her.

Jennifer Lawrence in Winter's Bone

A breakthough role for Jennifer Lawrence. It's very intense and memorable work. Lawrence took the character of Ree Dolly and created a person you care about and root for. I really appreciated this achievement because of its fierce nature.

Natalie Portman in Black Swan

This is my favorite performance by Miss Portman. This is just fabulous, a beautiful, terrifying, and unique performance. This is also a very special performance for me involving both vulnability and strength and horror. She envokes an intensity and brings the multi-layered Nina alive.

Tilda Swinton in I Am Love

There is nothing better than an Great English Actress becoming italian. Tilda is beautiful and envelops me with complete suprise that she could pull it of and became Emma. It's great and I encourage other people to see this unique performance by this very unique and great actress

Michelle Williams in Blue Valentine

This is for me a very unusual performance by Michelle. It did memorize me and I did enjoy every minute of watching Cindy's story and her faltering love story with Dean played by Ryan Gosling. Maybe not everyone thinks this is a memorable performance but for me it is actually

Best Actress in a Leading Role 2010

A rather weak year for the Academy for actresses but for my list I hope for interesting. The nominees for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role are

Nicole Kidman- Rabbit Hole
Jennifer Lawrence- Winter's Bone
Natalie Portman- Black Swan
Tilda Swinton- I Am Love
Michelle Williams- Blue Valentine

Annouce the Winner tomorrow

James Franco in 127 Hours

For me "heartwrenching" as he clings for life in such a desperate journey as Aron Ralston. Franco brings a multi-layered quality for me for this performance as Aron and brings out such humanity and power in moments of true desperation being trapped down there for 127 Hours. Great job Franco

Colin Firth in The King's Speech

Truly magnificant. That is all for me I guess just he is superb as King George VI the father of our Queen Elizabeth II. Colin Firth's performance is a performance that will live forever. Long live King Colin in a film which is equally great and a script and a score that is also superb. Perhaps this or for "A Single Man" another equally superb performance will live and stand the test of time for Colin's legacy

Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network

For me this wasn't a powerful performance as Mark Zuckerberg and for me dosen't stand out as the best actor of 2010. I think in some scenes there is a fire and Eisenberg comes alive as Zuckerberg but other he seems underwhelmed. Still I like this performance but it just didn't captivate me as much as the other nominees did.

Jeff Bridges in True Grit

Although still a good performance on the whole as Rooster Cogburn and Bridges really became alive as "Rooster". I still perfer John Wayne in the original a whole more moving and more of a classic in my mind but I still applaud Bridges for his performance and really did become him in every which way.

Javier Bardem in Biutiful

As Uxbal in "Biutiful" brilliantly directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Javier is absouletly beautiful and terribly heartwrenching as the single father who struggles with everyday life amid the dangerous underworld of modern Barcelona. His performance reaches you in the heart with a feeling of sadness for Uxbal and you just want to give him a hug. For me he against Colin Firth and James Franco are my top three

Best Actor in a Leading Role

This year 2010 was an interesting year for actors. I think this was a better year for actors than for actresses in terms of memorable performances
The nominees for the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role of 2010 are
Javier Bardem- Biutiful
Jeff Bridges- True Grit
Jesse Eisenberg- The Social Network
Colin Firth- The King's Speech
James Franco- 127 Hours

Such a great way to start the new year! The beginning of the Jared Awards

The Jared Awards

This is the Jared Awards. For all film and especially (OSCAR) buffs and who may be interested this is for you. I have created my own kind of online Oscars dating back to the beginning of Hollywood to the present. I have been obsessed with the Oscars and Films since I was just a little boy. I have been working on this for the past three years up to now and I have finally put enough self confidence to put it on the web. My favorite pics for my awards are for my favorite performances and films by my favorite actors and actresses. My favorite actor is Claude Rains and my favorite actress is Greta Garbo and a crush on Ingrid Bergman (btw we have the same birthday!) August 29th! So were I go the beginning to a hopefully great expierence
